POWERSKATING & SKILLS TRAINING CAMP!

The Blenheim Skating Club is excited to announce our new Powerskating & Skills Training camp! This one week camp is the perfect opportunity to get your hockey or ringette player ready and warmed up for the upcoming season! Providing 3hrs each day of on-ice training split into two 1hr 30min time slots and 2 hrs of off-ice training.
Powerskating is focusing on your skating development, quality technique of skating skills for both hockey and ringette players. Our vision aligns with Long-Term Development offering a program designed to focus on the development of 15 basic skills sets divided into three fundamental areas Balance, Control and Agility. This camp will allow for the opportunity to focus on skating outside of the game or practice. The program is designed to allow flexibility for progression an increase in intensity as needed, to cater to the level of skaters in the program. It is important to recognize this is not a learn to skate program. All attendees must be able to achieve the pre-requisite for the PowerSkate Program or have completed Stage 4 of the CanSkate program.
Camp is open too the ages 7 to 13. Player must be associated with a hockey/ringette association or Skate Canada to participate.
Ratio 1 coach : 10 Skaters
- Schedule for the 5 day period
- 8:45am - 9am - Parent/Guardian Drop Off
- 9am - 9:40am - OFF-ICE TRAINING
- 9:40am - 10am - Snack Break/Prepare for on-ice training
- 10am - 11:30am ON-ICE TRAINING
- 11:30am - 12:30pm - LUNCH
- 12:30pm - 12:45pm Off Ice Warm up
- 12:45pm - 1pm Prepare for on-ice training
- 1pm - 2:30pm - ON-ICE TRAINING
- 2:30pm - 3pm - Snack Break/Prepare for off-ice training
- 3pm - 4pm - OFF-ICE TRAINING
- 4pm - 4:30pm -Parent/Guardian Pick up
Cost - $600 for 5 days 8:45am - 4:30pm This cost will include your $58.65 Skate Canada Membership and Insurance that is required to participate in this program. For the participants who already have a Skate Canada Membership for dates of 2024 September 1 to 2025 August 31 you will not be required to pay the Skate Canada fee and your cost for the program would be $541.35.
Cost includes 3hr Ice time, 2hr Off-Ice Training and Certified Professional Coaches.
